The History of Interpart
JCB is an internationally established brand and, since 1975, Interpart has been the only genuine alternative parts service provider. We are proud of everything we have achieved over the many years we’ve been trading, so for you to get to know us we’re going to take you on a short trip back in time to where it all began and the journey we’ve been on.
What is Interpart?
Interpart is the only genuine alternative parts supplier for JCB. With over six thousand parts in our product range, we are proud to be supplying parts to our valued customers when they need us. One thing that has ensured our longevity is the quality and standard of product and service we provide, and we are pleased to meet the quality standards for business and employee management required for ISO 9001 accreditation.
How did Interpart start?
Our journey starts in 1970…with David Watson, the founder of Interpart - who is the reason Interpart is what it is today. Alongside David Watson, it also started with our lovely team members, including ‘Parts Encyclopedia’ David Lomas, working in the office of a company called Yettle Ltd (soon to be Interpart UK Ltd!). After a lot of hard work and dedication, Interpart started planning world domination (alongside a couple of visits to exhibitions!). With our wonderful team expanding and our equally as wonderful distribution network growing, we were thrilled to be supplying parts globally. 2013 saw Richard Watson step in as Executive Director and take over from his Father, who again transformed Interpart to adapt to the digital age. With our expansion only getting bigger, 2007 saw the opening of our brand new (and much bigger!) Interpart HQ, and ten years later in 2017 we saw the completion of our 22,000 square foot facility (much, much bigger!).
Not to shout our own praises, but we are extremely proud to now have a global distributors network that spans over 70 countries and to still be the only genuine alternative JCB parts service provider.

To ensure all of our products are fit for purpose and high-quality we source and sample-test all the parts, checking all our parts against the OEM quality and standard. We are confident in our products, but we do offer a 12-month guarantee on all our products so you can be rest-assured you’re covered no matter what.

We are a proud member of the Independent Distributors Association (IDA) and our support for them underlines our commitment to supplying only replacement parts that are quality engineered to match your equipment's specification.
